about me

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Alhamdulillah, Allah ﷻ has blessed me with the role of being the mother to ten wonderful children and the opportunity to be an educator.

My journey into education was never a conventional one. Throughout the early years of motherhood, my life was one of perpetual change — moving from country to country, city to city, and home to home. My husband’s work took us travelling all over Australia, Malaysia, and Bahrain, and with each move came new challenges. Schools were not always an option, so homeschooling became a necessity and a blessing.

Without any formal teacher training, I had to learn mostly through experience — adapting, improvising, and finding ways to make learning both fun and meaningful. At a time when the internet was not how it is now, I didn’t always have access to resources, but Alhamdulillah, Allah ﷻ always provided — whether through inspiring mentors, creative solutions, or the ability to persevere.

Alhamdulillah, through all that, I discovered that I actually love teaching. I realized that teaching wasn’t just about books and lessons — it was about sharing values, building faith, and making learning meaningful and fun.

By Allah ﷻ’s mercy, some of my children went on to complete their Alimiyyah studies, others have memorized or are memorizing the Qur’an. One has even ventured into studying to become an electrical engineer, a reminder that Allah ﷻ guides each of us on unique paths, and that all beneficial knowledge —whether religious or worldly — can be a means of serving the Ummah.

Their journeys has encouraged me to strengthen my own understanding of deen, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, Allah ﷻ blessed me with the opportunity to complete my own Alimiyyah studies. Which was not the easiest thing to do at my age. I found myself in a reversed role. They were now my teachers. It was an amazingly humbling experience — one that reminded me that gaining of knowledge is a lifelong effort, and that no matter what stage of life we are in, Allah ﷻ always opens doors for those who seek it.

Speaking of doors, Allah ﷻ also opened yet another door for me — one I never anticipated. I was blessed with the opportunity to serve as Mudirah of a madrasah in Malaysia. What started off with just five students has grown into an institution with over 100 students, Alhamdulillah. With this role came new challenges, but also countless blessings — the chance to help other mothers and educators, to create meaningful learning experiences, and to be part of something greater than myself.

Through my experiences, I’ve come to understand the struggles many educators and homeschooling mothers face — finding quality Islamic resources including but not limited to worksheets, creating DIY Islamic educational materials, and making lessons engaging while balancing countless other responsibilities.

Through it all, my children have often told me, “You should write a book Ma!” While that idea seems overwhelming in my mind, starting a website felt like an easier first step. BakhBakh.com is my way of sharing my journey — the lessons I’ve learned, the struggles I’ve faced, and the moments that have shaped me — in hopes that it might help others walking a similar path. Whether you are a homeschooling mother, an educator, or simply someone seeking inspiration, I pray that my experiences bring you benefit, comfort, and motivation, إن شاء الله .

I believe that education is one of the most powerful forms of sadaqah jariyah — an investment that continues to benefit us long after we are gone. Every lesson we teach, every resource we create, and every child we inspire is a step towards building a stronger, more knowledgeable Ummah.

My goal is to help make your journey as an educator a tad bit easier, إن شاء الله . Through this platform, I hope to share my experiences, suggest practical resources, and offer encouragement when the path feels overwhelming. You are not alone in this mission, and together, we can shape the future of our children with knowledge, faith, and love. In reality though, only Allah ﷻ is our source of help. I make du’a that this small effort of mine can be an asbab of hidayat for those who are touched by it.

Jazakumullahu khayran for taking the time to read this. Do forgive me for any shortcomings. May Allah ﷻ bless you in your efforts and grant you success in both this life and the next.

With love and du‘as,
Ina.
